Proline Football Club Assistant Coach Baker Mbowa says Dan Isiagi looks more composed in front of goal this season after the stylish player netted a brace in the Azam Uganda Premier League on Saturday to open his season account.
The 21-year-old converted a David Owori’s delivery from a free kick to open Proline’s account against UPDF Football Club on Saturday evening and also tapped in his second and third for the team from cross range a Fahad Bayo decisive cut in cross to restore our lead to 3-2 with seventeen minutes left on the clock; the strikes that earned him warm words from the assistant boss who was impressed by the player’s attacking intent throughout the match.
‘It’s fantastic,’ said Baker Mbowa. If you recall well, Isaigi made very many runs in the box and like two times he could not finish. This season he is calmer with his finishing and what he did against UPDF FC will give him more confidence. I think there are more goals in him.’
The goals on Saturday takes Isaigi into the pool of leading scorers for Proline this season; he has two, just one behind the leading scorer Fahad Bayo Aziz. The other players on target already for include David Owori (2), Joseph Mandela (2).
‘We’re pleased to have him because we know that he has so much quality in attack. His goals were crucial for the team and we hope he continues to perform like that against Maroons on Tuesday.’
‘We shall play to make it easy for him to get us more goals this season because his works on the pitch position him dangerously in front of goal.’
