The Uganda Cranes defender joined Proline FC from URA FC in August 2016;a move he code-named, “coming back home”.

The centre back began his career as a young star with Proline Soccer Academy which he joined at the age of 15 years; progressing through the youth system before joining Sports Club Victoria University, KCCA FC and eventually URA FC.

He made his international debut in an internationally friendly against Rwanda in 2013 while playing at SC Victoria University; the game ended 2-2.

After an encouraging come back from a one year long injury spell, Savio is back and his ambition to play professional football in Europe is still alive.

The defender’s finest moment was in that game when he scored a beautiful header winner for the Uganda Cranes in an African Cup of Nations qualifier game away in Ghana in 2014

The centre back also has additional international experience having featured for the national team, the Uganda Cranes in the African Nations Championship tournament that was hosted in South Africa in 2014.
